Pour ce tissu particulièrement doux, différents fils ont été utilisés dans un mélange de lin et de laine, certains chinés, d'autres légèrement flammés. Un motif jacquard ornemental est discrètement visible dans la largeur, bien qu'il soit plus contrasté dans certaines couleurs. EFFIE GRAY est disponible en onze coloris, des tons neutres argentés et beiges aux aquas doux, en passant par un olive intense et un bleu fumé.
